An Evening Post
I was running a bit late today.
And I am just settling into this blog thing. I hope it grows in voice because what I am currently doing is far more amateurish in voice then I expected. Yes, belief it or not, I really expect my here to for believed in by me writing talent to burst forth in abundant prose. It hasn't. However, my lack of spelling talent is rearing its head with aplomb.
As we headed into the city, the clouds broke way, leaving enough space for tinges of blue to peak through the pink edges that were brushed from the rising sun. The greys and whites of the storm clouds with the pink edges and blue sky were.. well, far more spectacular then my writing.
I still hold out hope that this will mature into something worth reading.. to bad I sent out an announcement this evening to friends and family. I really should have waited until I found my voice.
Here's another sky shot but this one is taken on my walk to the bus stop home. This evening the sky was filled with popcorn puffs that again were tinted pink along the edges.. and yet again, juxtaposed with the blue sky made for a wonderful backdrop to the trek home.
Don't ask me about Malden - I know nothing about it.
I do know that "Kate's", as we refer to it at work, used to be quite a good Irish pub to have a pint and a burger.. but they have fallen in the eats department. I'm sure the pub part is doing just fine - you can't ruin a pint of Guinness.
Now this place is good eats. Well, the dog I had a while back was supreme. But alas, my diet has changed and I no longer am partaking of the fare I used to. Yep, a gentleman (if I do say so meself) who started his morning - every morning - with a quad latte and 3 packs of sugar hasn't had wheat, dairy.. or a cup of coffee in three months now. Seems my extreme habits had blown out my system to the point were a food allergy test was run twice by the lab because they were quite sure they had done something wrong the first time. They hadn't.
I had.
I think this photo needs no explanation.
I covered up the company it was advertising for so you get a good look of a pair of my corporate work shoes.
And really, who can argue with such sentiment?
But really, it was taken in the middle of my commute home (aprox.)
Another advertisement with a fine sentiment.
This one however, instead of taking up a small portion of the sidewalk, covered quite a few floors of a building in the downtown financial district that the bus passes through on the way to Mill Valley.
If you can't tell (clicking on the photos brings up larger versions), it is a photo of a child walking through the rain.. yes, we can be happy in all types of weather. Just practice...
Part of what I think about when taking these pictures are interesting ways to do self portraits. Here I am in space.
You can see the reflection of me holding up my "camera".
And that about does it for today's commute...
Of course I end it with another glorious shot of the bay.. this one featuring Angel Island.
