Tickin'
Was a diary of my commute... and the thoughts that come with it. All photos taken with my Palm Zire72. Now it is something else. ~ amended 1/3/2007

Monday, Monday

It was rather an uneventful commute today - though again, beautiful... but you are going to get tired of hearing that, yes?

I like this picture to the left - it is a shot from the fron seat of the bus going through the Rainbow Tunnel, probably not the official name but that is what everyone calls it.. does that make it right?

Here is the Letterman Digital Arts Center - what you are clearly seeing is the turn off from 101 south to the center... A very interesting space that is, or rumor has it, the cutting edge of digital technology for the entertainment industry.

I almost had a job there, but when Lucas moved his production to this facility they downsized and the position disapeared. Maybe it is for the best... jobs and careers can be so trickly like that.

The rest of these pictures are from the commute home, including the walk... which brings me to this picture.

I really wonder what the person who took their time and energy is attempting to say with this? We should revolt because George W. Bush is evolving into a monkey? We should revolt because he is turning us into monkeys? Monkeys should revolt?

It was just clever to take the word "evolution" and place an "R" in front of it?

Now anyone who knows me knows that I am all for a revolution - It is time for a Boston Tea Party.. but this just incites wonderment. I do like it though.

Here is a bunch of people in line for car pooling to various parts of the Bay Area.. it is rather a long line stretching for a good part of a city block. I don't know where they're going but I do hope they made it home.

I wonder if the price of gas has increased car pooling and public transit?

Lastly, this is the bus stop I walk to to catch the number 4 Golden Gate Tranist to Mill Valley. And then a couple of shots of the Golden Gate Bridge which was looking mighty impressive as the sun set into the Pacific.

Part of why my commute is exceptionally beautiful at this time, is it is timed just right for the Magic Hour. It happens this way twice a year for about a month.. then daylight savings messes everything about.
