Well, here it is - The American Dream. Home Sweet Home.

I have been attempting to capture a photo like this for a while. I thought about asking the gentleman in the photo if I could take his picture - but, he seemed distracted by a train of thought that I didn't think I would understand...

And it seemed best to get to work on time... especially since we were launching the new KFOG site any moment (well, I knew it would be early tomorrow morning... but there was some more to get finished if we were going to launch on time. Though some would say we launched late. I think they had unrealistic ideas about launching a new site.)

He was still home when I went to pick up the truck.

This is a building at the corner of Howard and 6th that I have wanted to capture on film for quite some time, also.

From what little I know about it.... and I'm not even sure that what I know is true... but apparently some guy owns the building and boarded it up some time ago and then stuck all the furniture on the sides and roof.

As I recall, now that I think of it, I think he boarded it up after the furniture was adhered to the walls..

This is a city worker keeping our streets clean.

She was at Mission and 7th... a very difficult area to keep clean.

Just a block a way is the famous Carls Jr. where one can get just about anything they want - as long as though don't care if it's clean.

At first I was going to call this photo "protesting". But then I realized that what the people were really doing is bring awareness to something. I did not know if they were "against" anything. But what is definite is that they wanted people to be aware of something and they also were asking for a show of support by passing vehicles honking their horns.

A lot of people honked their horns upon passing what looked to be a block full of people with signs and placecards.

I do not know what they wanted people to be aware of.

And this is the best library in the world - bar none. Marin City Library. You can reserve a book a day here for free over the internet - which is awesome!

Just browse for the title, author, etc. online at any connected library and then have it picked up in Marin City. Free.
